NYFW :: WINTER WHITE

This was my fourth outfit for NYFW, one that was totally appropriate for -15 deg C weather as you can see. But even if I did lose all feeling in my lower extremities, I thought my winter white skirt and sweater went well with the frost on the ground. Priorities!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I’d started The Rosie Project on my flight home from New York. In about a week I’d finished the Rosie Project and its sequel, The Rosie Effect. Both books were phenomenal. I could not put them down but at the same time I didn’t want to read them too fast for fear that they would eventually end. They were funny, touching, poignant, sad, and hilarious at all once. I remember being engrossed in one of the books on the couch while Bahram watched Match of the Day*. He turned around to look at me several times with a mixture of amusement and concern as I laughed out loud one moment and had tears streaming down my face the next. 

I was so sad when the second book ended. I’ve been trying to find a new book that captured my attention in the same way but haven’t found one yet. For now, I console myself by re-reading books I know I love. Have you read the Rosie Project or the Rosie Effect? Do you have any books that you responded to the way I responded to those books? I’d love your recommendations. I need to get over my withdrawal!
