Here are 15 products that I recommend you try during the sale:
- SK-II Facial Treatment Essence – This one sold out very quickly during the last Sephora VIB sale and I was mad I didn’t pull the trigger earlier. I tried the Treatment Essence for the first time when I got generous sample of it at NYFW and my mom recently bought me a giant bottle from Tokyo, and I find that it really suits my combination skin. My skin looks more smooth, even-toned and bright. Enriched with 90% Pitera – the magic ingredient behind SK-II products – I apply this right after cleansing before my other products. Olivia Palermo is a fan of this product.
- Formula X The System – This set was recommended by my friend Eila who wrote a guest post for Stuff I Love on the best nail products. It consists of a cleanser, base coat, top coat, and a free nail polish, which you get to select from a vast number of colors. I tried this on an at-home mani last week and was blown away by the results. Hands down the best looking do-it-myself manicure I’ve ever had.
- Tatcha Polished Rice Enzyme Powder – This is not the only rice enzyme powder on the market. I use Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant, which is a similar concept. Tatcha has blown up in the beauty world with their stellar marketing and Japanese-beauty appeal and their rice enzyme powder in particular has received a lot of good reviews. This is a product I’m going to try out during the sale.
- beautyblender – I have a lot of beauty tools, but I always default to using my hands. However, that didn’t stop me from trying the beautyblender, which everyone seems to mention as a must-have. I’ve been using it with my tinted moisturizer and so far I love how natural the final result looks.
- AmorePacific Moisture Bound Tinted Treatment Moisturizer SPF 15 – I always say that Koreans know their beauty products. AmorePacific is one of the Korean beauty brands that has made its way to us and for that I am pleased. This is the best tinted moisturizer I’ve tried (unless you count Caudalie’s Vinoperfect Daily Perfecting Fluid, which has just the slightest tint and is an amazing day cream). After the product goes on my skin it almost turns powder like and gives a beautiful matte finish. I use No. 104 – Light. I love the non-tinted SPF 30 sunscreen as well.
- Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar – Nicknamed the Little Black Soap and raved about on Sephora and Amazon, Kourtney Kardashian is a fan and uses this mud bar every day with the Clarisonic. I look forward to trying it.
- Fresh Sugar Lemon Shower Gel – I love the Fresh Sugar Lemon fragrance. This shower gel leaves the most delectable scent on my skin and in my shower.
- Giorgia Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup SPF 15 – I’ve never tried a foundation like this before. In my opinion, this is the best foundation out there for people with combination skin and people who hate any sort of feeling that foundation leaves on their face. I don’t want to feel my foundation, period. It’s weightless and looks amazing. I reviewed this foundation here.
- YSL Nail Lacquer – Eila awarded YSL in her nail-related guest post as having the best brush and best formula out of all the nail polishes she’s tried. Plus, they would look so good in my bathroom. Sold.
- Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine Perfume – Citrus is one of my favorite smells in the world. Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine perfect captures the bright, uplifting, and happy characteristics of citrus perfectly. Other citrus-based fragrances I like: Clinique Happy and Fresh Sugar Lemon.
- Perricone MD Perfectly Polished No Makeup set – VIB sales are a great time to buy value sets. Beauty and skincare sets already have a lot of savings built in, so with an extra 15% off you’re getting an even better deal on products. Perricone MD’s No Makeup makeup line has built-in SPF, which I love. The No Blush Blush is one of my favorite blushes. I also take Perricone MD’s Total Body Supplements religiously.
- Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-Powder – I love using this hair powder for volume and to freshen up my hair after a long flight.
- Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer – Applying this primer is like applying a photoshop blurring tool over your skin. Obviously not as dramatic, but noticeably effective. Sometimes, after I apply this, I debate whether I should even apply foundation. Of course, I still do. It helps keep my skin looking matte and makes my foundation and blush look better than they would alone.
- Guerlain Rose Aux Joues blush – I haven’t tried Guerlain blush before but I’ve tried their other products. This blush received good reviews and I like that it comes with two colors that you can mix together. I’m due for a new blush so I’m giving this one a try!
- Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – Effective at fading acne scars and discolouration, especially when used in combination with the Vinoperfect night cream. Read my review of the Caudalie Vinoperfect line here.
