Hi everyone! I’m totally bedridden but I’m super excited to share my Valentine’s Day look with you. It’s all about the color red – red on my lips, red on my skirt, and red on my soles. I don’t make a big deal of the holiday but I usually get my mom flowers, and I love that everything is decorated in pink and red. Remember when in elementary school you’d give and receive Valentine’s Day grams? They were usually Disney or Nickelodeon themed, the message would contain a pun, and the good ones would have chocolate or sour candies inside? Remember those?! Why don’t adults get those?! Nowadays it’s all roses and “serious” grams that you can order for one “special” person. Boring! Seriously, people should give candy grams to their colleagues at work. They’re cute, fun, and innocent (and edible!). I say we bring it back! If y’all get a Spongebob candy gram on your desks this Friday, you’ll know who it’s from. #southernpreachervoice
An update on my eyes: it turns out I have a scratched cornea, which sounds really scary and totally is. I’m going back to my doctor again so that she can monitor how well my eye is healing. The process of getting your eye thoroughly examined is not pleasant. I was nervous and sweaty and kept on twitching my hands and taking sharp breaths. Cold + headache + SCRATCHED CORNEA(?!) …not fun. *quietly weeps*. In the meantime, I’m considering an eye patch.
