Happy Friday everyone!
I’ve shared several looks from MM.Lafleur the past two weeks (here, here, and here) and have worn their dresses to work numerous times. Their dresses are versatile, stylish, and made with high quality and low maintenance fabrics. I felt great in them. I’m wearing the Sarah dress in this post, one of their classic dresses that’s wrinkle-free so so easy to wear.
Dresses are the ultimate workwear staple in my opinion because they are so simple. There’s no need to worry about pairing multiple pieces, but you can accessorize in many different ways if you wanted to. I love pencil skirts, pants, blouses, and blazers of course, but it inherently takes more thought to put together an outfit with more pieces. Case in point: I had a soccer game last night, and one minute into the game something felt…different. I looked down and realized I forgot to put on my shorts. I’m not even kidding. I put on my tights, jersey, shinpads and socks, and walked out the door without my shorts. Thankfully my tights were the thick base layer kind I wear to ski, but this just proves to show that when you combine multiple pieces of clothing and a 12 hour work day, I might just accidentally leave the house without pants. 😛
What are you doing this weekend? I’m looking forward to finishing this book. Have a great weekend, and happy Chinese New Year!
