My boyfriend and I had a short-but-sweet vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii last month. You can read about our snorkeling adventure. We rented a car on one of the days and drove out to the North Shore of Oahu, famous for its massive waves, pineapple fields, countryside vibe, and surf culture. It was my second trip to Oahu but my first time visiting the North Shore. It was very different than Waikiki and reminded me a lot of Tofino BC. The beaches were way less crowded than Waikiki and the waves were incredible. We had lunch at Turtle Bay Resort and explored a few beaches before heading back.
I had tried to find fresh coconut milk in Waikiki without success but to my excitement, the North Shore was filled with little streetside markets that sold fresh fruit and coconuts! Fresh coconut milk from the coconut is SO good! That’s one of the things I miss the most about Hawaii.
I’m wearing a one-piece swimsuit from Australian brand Seafolly that I picked up from a hotel shop after breakfast one morning. I’ve never tried anything from Seafolly and I couldn’t believe how well all of their suits fit me. Like, no joke, I tried on about 6 suits, 1-pieces and 2-pieces, and I wanted them all. I’ve never come across a brand that fit my body so well and looked so flattering. I immediately texted two of my friends – one from Australia and one from New Zealand – and both of them told me that they love Seafolly. I bought the palm print swimsuit I’m wearing in this post and a black two-piece. Have you ever worn anything from that brand?
