There are some things I often ponder about.
Deep issues like,
Why it’s so easy to stay up late but almost impossible to go bed early.
Why less than a year after I buy a pack of 30 hair ties the only one I can find is a loose scraggly one that barely has any elasticity left. I imagine there is a place in the world where all of my missing hair ties have run off to, and they are now friends with other runaway hair ties, slinging each other off cliffs into pristine lake waters and having stretching competitions, screaming with joy for no longer being “tied” up.
How I am normally calm, happy, patient, and understanding, but can turn into someone with no resemblance to myself when I drive in busy morning traffic. Who is that person, and why is she in my car?
Is there anything funnier than minor physical mishaps? Things that have made me giggle uncontrollably include my boss turning a corner too quickly and walking into a desk, the show Wipeout, men getting hit in sensitive areas unintentionally by little children (I know, I’m the worst), and the like. If I ever see someone slipping on a banana peel in real life I don’t think I would recover.
What’s on your mind lately?
In this outfit, I’m wearing a Vince sheath dress that I dressed up in this holiday-inspired post in a more casual style. I belted it and pulled it up to make it into a mini skirt so that I could wear my over-the-knee suede boots. It’s a versatile and comfortable dress that’s currently on sale at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Nordstrom. It’s also on sale in black, which I’m wearing in this post.
