Being half-Korean and a fan of everything skincare related, I am naturally a fan of Korean skincare. K beauty has gained a lot of exposure in North America in recent years but we still don’t get access to a lot of brands and products here. I discovered Korean skincare brand Racinne recently and was excited to find out that they have a Canadian office, based in Vancouver, which means they ship to Canada and US and we get easy online access to their full range of products. I had the opportunity to try several products from the Racinne line. After trying them over a period of several weeks, I’ve picked my favorite must-have products from the brand to tell you about.
Racinne is not just another Korean skincare brand. They use advanced Korean biotechnology and extract nutrients from rare plants that target key concerns including Korean ginseng callus extract for anti-aging, lotus callus extract for brightening, and grape callus extract for optimal hydration. As for soothing sensitive skin, Delisens™, a hexapeptide, is used in their Delicare Perfection line to calm and soothe irritated skin.
I have a special discount code and a giveaway just for my readers. Keep on reading below!
Delicare Perfection Soothing Serum – Racinne’s Delicare line is formulated specially for sensitive skin. It’s free of 10 common skin irritants, such as fragrance, parabens, mineral oil, and talc. This serum applies very smooth and velvety. It left my skin feeling comfortable, soothed, and soft. I think this serum is the perfect primer. I used it underneath the Ultimate Defence Illuminating Cream (reviewed below) as well as creams from other brands, and it was the perfect base for all of my moisturizers. It made my skin look even and my makeup go on more smoothly. When the weather gets warmer and less dry, I plan on using this underneath my sunscreen and tinted moisturizers.
Hydra Perfection Ultimate Defence Illuminating Cream – This product is part of Racinne’s Hydra Perfection line. I used to say that I have combination skin, but this winter pushed my skin profile fully into the category of dry skin. (By the way, it still feels like winter, will it ever end?) I also have occasional hormonal breakouts and I’m prone to hyper-pigmentation. Perfect skin, I have not. This cream not only moisturized my dry skin in the short term but it made my skin feel just as supple and moisturized by the end of the day. It made my skin look and feel healthy and radiant. When I test products I like to try them with all the other products in my regimen since that is how most of us use new products, and I’m happy to say that all of my foundations, powders and serums from other brands interacted well with this cream.
By virtue of living with a beauty blogger, my boyfriend Damon may not have any bathroom counter space but certainly has access to a lot of creams. He has deemed the Ultimate Defence Illuminating Cream his new favorite daily cream because he says that it keeps his face moisturized longer than other creams. Also, you guys, I have to talk about the price. $46 for a rich face cream that works is very reasonable and definitely better value than many other creams I know of / have bought. Everything in the Racinne line is very reasonably priced. You can get an additional 20% off that price with my discount code (see end of post).
Delicare Perfection Soothing Eye Serum – This one was another favorite from the Delicare Perfection line. It feels very similar in texture as the Soothing Serum. Light, velvety, and easy to pat around the eyes. This eye serum is clinically proven to improve skin hydration by over 34% in just one week. I love how this felt around my eyes. It felt like the perfect level of hydration for a daytime eye product. Safe for lash extensions. My eyes take quite a beating at the start of spring due to hay fever and get very sensitive and itchy. This serum along with prescription allergy eye drops are the perfect duo to calm down my irritated eyes.

Sounds like a brand I should try! I feel like korean skincare brands are usually either really great or really bad… the cheaper lines I’ve definitely learned to stay away from (i’d still try their makeup though!) because they don’t really work and usually have too much fragrance in them. I’ve come to really like 3Lab.. but I will keep this brand in mind for sure!! Thanks for sharing Jenny 🙂
