It has been raining nonstop in Vancouver which has one, made it very difficult to shoot photos, and two, made clear the importance of owning a quality umbrella. Before buying this yellow one and this sturdy black one I used to have a grave of umbrellas that were either lopsided on one side or had metal rods sticking out, waiting to poke someone’s eye out. Having an umbrella that doesn’t turn inside out on me makes me very happy.
I was really happy to wear my new Emerson Fry Graffiti coat from EF’s Cold Spring collection. I’m crazy about everything she designs. I’m also excited to own the perfect LBD from Vince – thick material, not too tight, the perfect balance of classy and sexy. On the way home I saw a really cute European style wall so of course I had to stop and take a photo. You can follow me on Instagram at @_stuffilove.
Have you been following the Olympics? What are your favorite events? I catch bits and pieces everyday in my company kitchen when I go in to get tea, and watch my favorite events like alpine skiing and ski jumping online. There have been so many stunning and heart-string-tugging moments so far, like when a Canadian coach ran to give a Russian crosscountry skier his ski. That clip is totally NSFW because I watched it at my desk and immediately started crying. I get so emotional watching the Olympics – the dreams, the families, the sacrifice, the support…okay I can’t even type this without tearing up. Let’s talk about ice dancing – I must have forgotten about this event because I was holding my breath for the throw, wondering where the crazy costumes were, and surprised at how much I like the music. I was so delighted to find out that it’s literally ice dancing, like SYTYCD on ice! So beautiful! By the way, did you know there was a legit Olympic sport called ski ballet? I didn’t.
Thanks so much for visiting. Wishing you a positive, purposeful, and fun day. See you soon!
