Hello! I’m happy to share my third look from New York Fashion Week plus some shots of New York architecture, which I just can’t get enough of. Whenever I think of the word “colorblocking” I think of the scene in The September Issue where Anna Wintour says no to colorblocked outfits her staff selected for a shoot because “they’re not colorblocking”. Ha. I love that movie. I used to shoot frequently with my friend Roy, who loves cars and photography but has no interest in fashion. I tried to get him to watch the September Issue by telling him that it was about trucks. He actually bought my attempt to trick him and remembered to download it at home, but he got the name wrong and searched for the October Issue instead, which didn’t exist. After that I couldn’t keep a straight face and had to tell him it was a documentary about a fashion magazine.
I played soccer-mom on the weekend and drove my little brother Danny and his friend Luke to Whistler so they could go mountain biking for the day. I even had to sign a waiver form as Luke’s guardian! Talk about feeling old! The boys had a great time while I worked in a coffee shop. Okay fine I did a little shopping at Roots too – their fall collection is so cozy and awesome. The weekend was hot and sunny but as of today I’m starting to get into in full fall-mode. All of a sudden it’s chilly enough for extra layers. I bought my boyfriend a super soft hoodie a couple of weeks ago and he loves it so much he’s been waiting for the temperature so drop so that he can wear it every day. He’s pleased that it was cold enough for him to wear it today. I just ordered a pair of new riding boots for myself and have started taking a thicker cardigan with me to work.
Have you started wearing your fall wardrobe yet? What are you most excited to wear for fall?
