NYC: Times Square at Night

I spent an amazing 4 days in New York City with my little brother last week and it was great to be back in the city that I fell in love with last year and, more importantly, to spend some quality time with my brother! Even though we often go skiing together it’s nothing like going away on a trip. We had so much fun together and I am so so glad that I decided to take him on a trip and so thankful for the time we had. I rented an apartment on the Upper West Side that was spacious and had great amenities (it even had food in the fridge!) which was great to come home to every night after walking a marathon around the city and made our stay in New York feel very authentic. On our first night we went to Times Square because not many things feel more “New York” than the lights and energy in Times Square at night. My brother read in Frommer’s that one must try a hot dog from a hot dog stand, so despite my warnings that he might get diarrhea he had his first New York hot dog in Times Square and from that point on hot dogs were a constant theme throughout our trip. I eventually succumbed to the smell of fried onions and bought a hot dog, and oh my, it was amazing. They look like IKEA hot dogs but taste so much better! Don’t even ask me how many we ate in total.
