The weather is hot hot hot in Vancouver and I’m so excited about the amazing summer espadrilles that I found that you have to check out. I found a pair of super comfortable wedge espadrilles for sexy summer height (4″ wooo!) and a pair of chic flat espadrilles with a suede ankle tie for picnics and lawn weddings. Lastly, even though these are not pictured, we can’t forget about the OG closed toed espadrilles, which I will talk about below as well.
Wedge Espadrilles
The best pair of wedge espadrilles that I found are the Marc Fisher ‘Adalyn’ wedge espadrille sandals (101 reviews!). I have very short and very wide feet that were super cute when I was a baby but tough to fit into shoes as an adult. These sandals were maybe just a tad tight around my feet at first but quickly adjusted to a comfortable fit. The ankle straps make them stay on my feet comfortably and securely. The height on these is a real advantage. I’m so much taller and can kiss my 6’1 boyfriend without spraining my neck. They also come in a perforated version, which looks great but costs about two froyos more.
Flat Espadrille Sandals
How cute are these Splendid Jody Ankle Tie Espadrilles? They’re also 30% off! I have them in the lavender blue color, which is available here and here. I find that the suede ankle ties make them a dressier version of your standard flat espadrilles, perfect for when you want to accessorize a dress but need to walk on uneven grass. I think they make my feet look really good and will make yours look good too. Here is another pair of lace-up espadrilles to consider if you’re looking for more options.
Standard Flat Espadrilles
I don’t know about you but my espadrilles have a lifespan of exactly one summer. A couple of weeks ago I wore a pair of Tory Burch espadrilles from last summer to a baseball game and by the time I walked from my car to the stadium a couple of my toes were peeping out of the side. My boyfriend thought it was hilarious. On the bright side, now I can honestly say I need new espadrilles. With that said, the goal is to get cute espadrilles but to spend as little as possible. The Sam Edelman Verona espadrilles come in a ton of colors and prints and are on sale for only $31.
Soludos is pretty much the reigning champ of easy summer footwear and for under $100 you can join me in dying over their adorable lemon espadrille flats, avocado espadrilles, and banana espadrilles. UGH SO CUTE. Back to the topic of durability, I wonder if perhaps a pair of leather espadrilles would last longer. Don’t those look like the Chanel ones?
What are your thoughts? Do you like espadrilles, or are you not a fan of walking on rope? What are you wearing on your feet this summer?
Check out this summer outfit post where I styled a romper with striped espadrilles.
