Keep it all for yourself, gift it to your mom for Mother’s Day, or keep-some-share-some, it’s worth it! Nude & Noir Cosmetics Provocative Palette: How gorgeous is this makeup palette from Nude & Noir? It’s a creamy, multi-use palette made from 100% vegan and cruelty-free ingredients. The main ingredient in the palette is coconut oil, and it also contains shea butter, cocoa seed butter, and other plant-based oils, butters and extracts. The Provocative palette is one of four palettes in the Nude & Noir collection. It has a glossy pink for highlighting, a shimmering charcoal for eyes, a bright pink for cheeks and lips, and a neutral brown cream for contouring and bronzing.
A description of the colors and instructions for use:
I love palettes in general and this one is great. It’s a creamy product but you can still press your fingers firmly into it without ending up with too much. The product is highly pigmented so the color payoff and blendability is fantastic. I loved playing with the colors with my fingers. If you own any Artis brushes (I highly recommend them), they do a great job of blending the brown color to help give you that perfect contoured look, but you can use your fingers too. The pink blush color was very flattering on both cheeks and lips and I found that it applied best when pressed on as opposed to rubbed in.
Mythologie Radiance Toning Facial Oil: This toning facial oil is absolutely amazing. This is the winning product in the box. I loved it from the first use and packed it for my Asia trip. I’ve used a lot of facial oils and this one is one of the best I’ve ever tried in terms of how well it absorbed and how it made my skin look and feel. I didn’t even need a cream after pressing a few drops of this into my face. It made my skin SO soft and my face glowed. As a bonus it also smells really good.
I love the simple but powerful list of ingredients:
It retails for about $50, which honestly is not bad for a facial oil.
Lavido Ultra Daily Facial Moisture Cream: The perfect cream to throw into my carry-on. Contains omega 6 acid, evening primrose oil, and vitamins to soften the skin.
OY-L Skincare Orange Rose Body Butter: If I had to pick just one favorite from this month’s box, it would be a tie between the Mythologie Toning Oil and the OY-L body butter. I’m obsessed with the consistency of this body butter. It’s literally whipped butter in a jar and it MELTS on the skin. I’ve been using it after showering and throughout the day on my hands and I. can’t. get. enough. It leaves my skin with a light citrus scent that makes me happy.
I love this body butter so much I looked up the OY-L line. They’re sold at Saks and they have products with Manuka honey that I’d love to try. OY-L sells skincare kits on their website that look like a great way to try their products at a discount. I love that Mapleblume contains so many high quality products from brands I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.
Elyse Marie No.79 Hair Repair: If you have thick, dry and coarse hair this pre-wash conditioning oil is for you! It can also be used as a leave in conditioner or styling serum. It’s a bit too rich for my hair, but it worked really well on my boyfriend’s dry curly hair, which soaked it right up. I recommended this to my mom, who is an aquafit fanatic, as a pre-swim protector. I know this is a hair repair serum, but it’s a pretty amazing cuticle oil too. The ingredients are all plant based: apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil and lavender oil, so it could be used in many ways.
Vapour Organic Beauty Spirit Solid Perfume: This solid perfume is the feature product in the April box. Did you know that commercial fragrances contain endocrine blockers that disrupt hormones? Yikes! The Spirit Solid Perfume is free from harmful chemicals and made exclusively with fine essential oil absolutes and natural fruit essences. It’s a unisex scent that has a base of Haitian Vetiver and additional notes of velvety rose and bright citrus. The scent evolves with body heat and responds to each person’s chemistry. It’s a dark, sexy, spicy and woody scent. I liked it more and more as the scent developed on my skin. I think it’s a sexy masculine scent. It was great to try a new product in the Vapour Beauty line. I’m still using and loving the Vapour Beauty Siren lipstick that was in last April’s Mapleblume box.
I loved discovering the new products and brands in this month’s Mapleblume box. Mapleblume impresses time and time again with the quality, variety, value, and usability of the products in their boxes. Order your April box before it runs out here. Thanks for reading!
