I’m excited to reveal the contents of the August box from my favorite beauty subscription, Mapleblume. I think the August box is their best box yet. Mapleblume is a luxury beauty subscription program that ships every second month to both Canada and US and includes a minimum of 5 full-size premium beauty and cosmetics products (you can see contents of previous boxes here). The value of this box is incredible – the August box boasts a total of 7 full size products at a value of $257! For this month only, you can get even better value by using the discount code MAPLE10 for 10% off any new order. This is the first time they’ve ever had a discount code, so I recommend taking advantage of it while you can!
Here’s a roundup up and review of everything in the August box.

Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer SPF 30
The Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer SPF 30 is a 3-in-1 UV-chemical free sunscreen that functions as a moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup primer all in one. It’s an Allure Best of Beauty Award winner and contains all-natural ingredients like aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, cucumber, red algae and green tea to help soothe and moisturize the skin. It’s a popular product with glowing reviews online and I was really excited to see it included in the August box.
My first impression was that I love the scent. It’s a light citrusy scent that smells fresh and uplifting but not a strong one that will irritate the skin. Sunscreens are not really known for smelling good, so that’s a bonus. It pumps out as a thick white cream that almost feels like a paste but it was easy to blend and to my pleasant surprise it didn’t leave a white film.
My morning routine after cleansing includes essence, a little dab of a rich moisturizer on my dry spots, the Suntegrity sunscreen, and ends with a powder and the Ilia Multi-Stick (another amazing item from this month’s Mapleblume box). My powder went on smoothly and evenly over the Suntegrity sunscreen. The best part was that my face didn’t feel like it had sunscreen on it during the day, which I’m sure you all know what I mean. A girlfriend of mine has this sunscreen and she said that her liquid foundation didn’t look great on top of it, so keep that in mind if you wear liquid foundation, but I didn’t have any issues with it while wearing powder.
Sunscreen is an essential part of my skincare and I love that the Suntegrity sunscreen was part of the August box. A perfect summer skincare item from a highly rated brand.
2. Luna Nectar Moonstone Tonic for Lashes & Brows
You guys, I was so excited about this one. I couldn’t believe a lash serum was part of the box. It’s $75! The Moonstone Tonic from Luna Nectar is a safe and natural serum for lashes and eyebrows that enhances the thickness, volume and length of your lashes and brows. It contains natural ingredients like argan oil, aloe vera, sweet almond oil, and biotin to name a few. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this before but I actually use a lash serum every day. I have eyelash extensions so I use a serum to strengthen my lashes so that they can continue to support my extensions. I love that this pricey item was part of the August box. It’s perfect for people who already use a lash serum and also for people who want to try but may be hesitant to pay so much money.
I’ve tried more expensive lash serum brands like Latisse, which irritated my lash line. The Moonstone Tonic hasn’t irritated my eyes at all, and I love that it’s a creamy white texture so I can actually see where I’ve applied it. I like it a lot so far and I have a feeling that this is going to be a part of my routine for a long time.
3. Abbey Lane Farm Body Oil
The Abbey Lane Farm Body Oil hails from my city, Vancouver BC. It smells like orange, vanilla, and sage. I can’t wait to bring this to my next RMT massage appointment.
4. Ilia Beauty Multi-Stick in Cheek to Cheek
Ilia is one of those brands that I’ve admired on Instagram for a long time. I love their whole aesthetic and I want everything in their line. The Multi-Stick adds a natural stain of color to cheeks, lips and eyes in a chic and travel friendly twist-up applicator. The color Cheek to Cheek was inspired by the colors of Tuscany. It’s so easy to blend into my cheeks and lips and the color is beautiful. This is the perfect item to throw into your carry on for touch ups on the go.
5. Wildcraft Geranium Orange Blossom Toner
I’m a big fan of face mists and I can never have enough of them. I love it when Mapleblume boxes introduce me to new ones and I’m happy to be introduced to Wildcraft Geranium Orange Blossom Toner in this month’s box. It’s 100% organic and contains just four ingredients: orange flower water, witch hazel, aloe vera juice, geranium essential oil. It smells fresh and clean and feels wonderful and refreshing. I love misting my face and this one is great.
6. Province Apothecary Calm Down Therapeutic Roll On
The Province Apothecary Calm Down Therapeutic Roll On is a handy little roll on that packs a therapeutic punch with natural essential oils that calm nervousness and anxiety and relaxes the mind and body. It contains lavender, mandarin, bergamot, frankincense and neroli oil to name a few. This would be a great oil to rub into wrists and temples before bed. It’s as if Mapleblume knew how stressful my job has been!
7. Mabrook & Co. Clean Deodorant in Vanilla & Mint
I tested the Mabrook & Co. Clean Deodorant in Vanilla & Mint to make sure it was suitable for sensitive underarms (it is), but I gave it to my boyfriend Damon to test for efficacy. We had a bad experience with the last natural deodorant he bought so he’s been sticking with the “non-natural” ones with chemicals.
Damon has used the Mabrook & Co Clean Deodorant for several days already, and that alone says a lot because if it hadn’t been effective there wouldn’t have been a day two. He really put it to the test. He used it on hot and humid days that included a full day of work as well as moving stuff from our old apartment. I have a very sensitive nose and I must admit that I am surprised by how well this natural deodorant performed. No hint of any body odour! He smelled like vanilla and mint at the end of the day. Super impressive. We give it four thumbs up.
Conclusion
My conclusion is that Mapleblume is my favorite subscription beauty program, that the August box exceeded my expectations, and that you should use the MAPLE10 code and go get yourself a box.
Have you used any of the products in the August box?

I’ve been looking forward to your review of this box and I was not disappointed! Love how thorough and detailed you were with each product and that you and Damon really put the natural deodorant through its paces. Mapleblume really does seem like a great subscription box for people who are trying to go greener with their beauty.

Aww thanks so much Lisa, I’m so glad to hear that! I love that Mapleblume has some local Canadian products made by smaller indie brands mixed in with popular products by well known brands. I knew you were curious about the natural deodorant so I wanted to make sure I delivered! I was totally prepared for it not to work like the last one we tried, but we were very impressed!
