I discovered the brand Kotn (pronounced “cotton”) at their Vancouver store opening last winter. They work with Egyptian cotton farmers to make high quality cotton basics and revive their struggling businesses along the way, like “farm to table” but for clothes. If you’ve ever struggled to find a plain cotton tshirt with no logo and that’s not paper thin, look no further! I gave my husband Damon and my brother Danny sweatshirts from Kotn for Christmas that they love. I picked up the pomegranate-colored midi dress that I’m wearing here (it’s on sale) and love how it fits. (This isn’t sponsored and I paid for my dress, I just want to mention a great brand!)
I took these photos the day of my wedding hair and makeup trial earlier this year in March (in case you’re wondering why I have a coat on lol). I did it with LJ from Dalaga. I had small sections of my hair pulled back here but decided to have all of my hair down on my wedding day. You should definitely do a hair and makeup trial in case you were on the fence about it. It’s a great chance to try out your vision and communicate with your makeup artist. I brought all my own products to the trial (as I did for my wedding), because I love the products I have. I love my matte Dior lipstick but decided it was a little too dark, so I went with a different one for my wedding. I’ll do another post on the exact products I use on my wedding day!
