I love occasions where I can get more dressed up than usual. Back in the day there was prom, which my high school had every year (so awesome), and now there are holiday parties. Whether you are attending your own company party or attending one as a date (how fun!), it’s a great time to get dolled up, wear a fancy dress, and have glam makeup.
I love this MM.Lafleur dress for holiday dinners and parties because the wrapping detail is so chic and the color is a nice departure from black. It’s fitted, which makes it sexy, but also quite conservative so it’s beautiful choice for any classy event.
For my makeup I went for smokey eyes, bold brows, and a bold lip. You don’t have to choose one feature to emphasize, I believe you can go all out. Makeup Artist Danielle Hill did a wonderful job on my makeup. She spent a lot of time prepping my face beforehand, which I think made a huge difference in how my skin looked afterwards. I love the Radiance Primer, which didn’t make my face look oily as I would have expected, and the Secret Camouflage concealer was amazing – Danielle says the trick is to apply it with your fingers so it warms up in your hands. See below for a full list of products that she used to create my look.
If you’re interested in seeing some photos where I’m behind the lens, check out a 3-part series I shot of Sarah Lafleur, CEO of MM.Lafleur, when I was in New York earlier this fall. She’s wearing the same dress I’m wearing here. See Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
