1. Laphroaig 10 Year Old, ~$60. Personally, I don’t like this whisky. The experience was a bit too much like having a campfire in my mouth. However, Laphroaig is a very popular choice amongst men and this isn’t a guide to “Gifts for Jenny”. For something less peaty, The Macallan 12 is an excellent choice in the same price range.
2. Issey Miyake “W” Watch by Satoshi Wada, ~$600 depending on the style. The Issey Miyake watch project is a series of collaborations with different renowned designers around the world. Satoshi Wada is most famously known for designing the Audi A5, which is my favorite coupé. The W watches are beautifully and thoughtfully designed. 3. Lego Star Wars R2-D2, $139.97.

5. – Stuff White People Like by Christian Lander, $10.20. – How to be Black by Baratunde Thurston, $10.19. I can provide few tips too, just sayin’. – The Onion’s Finest News Reporting, Vol. 1, $12.96. Anything The Onion-related is a good choice for guys.
6. Sigg 1.0L bottle, $20.95. These Swiss-manufactured bottles are made by “an extruding press which forms an aluminium puck into a cylinder in a single movement after which it is pressed into one of several possible bottles sizes” (source). Cool, right? I love the sleek, minimalist design. They are my favourite water bottles.

18. MyPakage, $25-30. I attended a presentation by the founder of the marketing firm that worked on the MyPakage campaign. They flipped traditional marketing upside down and had campaigns like “Get 1 Free Buy 1”, the opposite of “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”. Very interesting stuff! Testimonials included women who said that their husbands never wore underwear until they tried MyPakage. I found that very disturbing but I guess it’s a good thing that there is a solution.
