The first facial I ever had was one that I treated myself to at a spa in Vancouver during university. I had always wanted to have a facial because it seemed like the ultimate luxury but I was nervous about how my sensitive would react to new products. I looked at websites of almost all the spas in Vancouver, read online reviews, and did a lot of research before booking an appointment. Through my research it became evident that Dermalogica was the industry standard for day spas even though I didn’t know anything about the brand at the time. My first facial was a great experience and my treatment was done using Dermalogica products. Now, several years later, facials are still one of my favorite indulgences and Dermalogica products remain a staple in my skincare routine. I was happy to hear about Dermalogica’s newest program, the Little Grey Pass, which connects consumers like me and you with participating skin care centers and spas in Vancouver and Toronto.
After registering for the Little Grey Pass, a visit to any of the participating Dermalogica spas (see a list of locations here) for a one hour facial gets you one stamp. After four stamps you can start collecting free product rewards like a full-sized Pre-Cleanse. I think it’s a really great way to try spas you haven’t been to in Vancouver or Toronto and get free products as a bonus.
As part of this program I was invited to try the participating spas. It’s tough work, I know ;). The first Little Grey Skin Center I had the pleasure of visiting was Fruition Day Spa in North Van for a facial with the owner, Laura. My facial was great but aside from that I just want to point out that Laura gave me the most amazing shoulder massage ever. I thought I was going to melt; it was so good. Laura gave me some great skincare tips for keeping my skin clear, well-hydrated, and congestion-free, like a reminder that I should use my favorite exfoliator, the Daily Microfoliant, daily as its name suggests, or at least 3-4 times a week as opposed to the once a week I’m using it now. I left with some Dermalogica samples, a thoroughly relaxed body, and glowing skin.
