Happy first day of Autumn!
I’m actually home sick today, so please excuse any typos in this post caused by cold-induced foggy brain. I haven’t been sick in a long time, and it’s so miserable. It takes a lot for me to stay home from work, and even today I logged on to my work laptop after breakfast, but I was not in any shape to do anything productive so I knew I wasn’t doing myself or my company any favours by delaying my recovery. I packed it up back up and made a conscious decision to rest. I thought, “time to watch Netflix all day!” but what really sucks is that I didn’t even have energy to watch tv. I started an episode of Revenge* but after 5 minutes my eyes hurt so much I had to lie back down.
But back to fall fashion: It’s time to bring out the blazers, jackets, and deep rich fall colours! Most of the clothing in my wardrobe is a variation of navy, black, or grey, and I don’t actually own anything in green other than light mint green so I ordered this dark green dress to mix things up. I didn’t know what to wear with it at first but it’s actually quite a versatile piece and goes with a lot colours. I think it’s a great dress to wear to the office – it’s equally sharp on its own (it has fall-approrpiate 1/2 sleeves) or with a blazer.
What do you think of my hair? Naturally it’s very very straight and it doesn’t hold styles very well (also I don’t know how to style it haha) so 99% of the time it’s either in its natural form or in a ponytail. It was such a treat to get my hair and makeup done. I loved the curls and volume. My friend Milly is a talented special effects makeup artist for tv and movies and an amazing photographer too – that girl has many skills I tell you. We used products I already had – a curling iron (used less than 5 times ha), hair spray, and volumizing powder.
How do you usually style your hair? Do you have any shows you’re addicted to right now?
*Revenge is a show on American Netflix. It’s pretty addictive. If you are outside the US there are several ways to watch American Netflix. One way is an app called Hola on Chrome.
