Hello everyone. How was your Easter long weekend? Do you have any Easter traditions? Mine was busy yet relaxing at the same time. I enjoyed going to church on Easter Sunday and listening to worship songs all weekend long. One of my favorite songs is “In Christ Alone“, a song I first heard in my dad’s car. My dad rarely changes the CDs in his car and literally played the same Chinese worship CD for years, but one day I got a ride in his car and was surprised to hear not just a new song but an English song. It has become one of my favorite Christian songs. I love the melody and the lyrics describe what Christ means to me so beautifully:
In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
I wear this MM.Lafleur dress on an almost-weekly basis to work and I wore this particular outfit to a power lunch Catherine and I had at MM.LaFleur’s showroom, the Work/Shop. I love the simplicity and functionality of a well-cut long-sleeve sheath dress. I can accessorize as much or as little as I want. In this case I kept it simple with a Daniel Wellington watch, a berry red lip and hair styled at Dream Dry courtesy of Catherine (I got the style called “Rae”). You can buy this dress at MM.LaFleur and a less expensive version here.
