My love for business fashion began when I moved to Calgary for my first professional job. I think that’s when I started to discover what my style was for the first time. It’s the gradual realization after a wearing a few amazing pieces that yes, this is my style, this represents who I am, and this is what I should wear more of in the future. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about what looks good on my body, what fabrics last, and what I feel great wearing. It took some hits and a lot of misses! My style has evolved and I’ve given away most of the clothes I purchased in Calgary, but the one item I always kept was the striped green blazer I’m wearing in the photos. I love the cut and the detailing on the jacket. I love that it’s lined at the edges with a darker shade of green. I’m enamored with all the little feminine touches like the silver buckle wrapped around the two pockets, the silver buttons with a heart indentation, and the functional surgeon cuffs. It is the perfect blend of impeccable tailoring and style. It’s one of the most unique pieces I own and I hope to find more like it.
