Hi everyone, Happy New Year!
How was your New Years? I came back after two weeks in Whistler then decided to go (again!) on Jan 1st for a few days with my family and our friends. I just can’t stay away from Whistler! On Thursday we received a huge dump of snow and the skiing was fantastic. There was so much powder. I love it when conditions are a bit rough – strong winds, heavy snow, poor visibility – it doesn’t phase me! I got a little wind burnt and a bit motion sick when everything looked white at the peak and I had no frame of reference, but it’s all a part of the fun!
After living out of what I haphazardly packed for the last couple of weeks it’s become clear what I can and cannot live without. What I can’t live without: quality tea plus a dash of homogenized milk, nail clippers – my nails grow way too fast and I can’t have them even a little bit long, warm slippers, hand lotion, Lightroom – blogging without Lightroom while in Whistler was a first for me and I missed it very much. What I can live without: a razor, apparently!
For most of the last year my shopping for tops was focused on silk blouses and cashmere sweaters. I didn’t know how much my closet was lacking in warm knits until I got this beautiful knit sweater from LOFT. Starting now, I will certainly be filling that hole in my closet.
