Hi friends, Merry Christmas!
How are you spending your Christmas? Did you stay in the same city, travel home, or go away somewhere warm? I am so excited to spend quality time with family and some down time with my boyfriend. It’s been an amazing month so far but also a very hectic and tiring month. Damon and I attended a Christmas party almost every single night, I went away on two work trips, and we’ve had many commitments and to-dos. It’s also been a challenge keeping rooms organized amongst all the online shopping packages and wrapping paper. Do you have the same issue? The other night I was trying to get the apartment organized in a hurry because Damon was expecting friends over. We had two huge cardboard boxes filled with smaller cardboard boxes in the middle of the kitchen and he said, “Don’t worry about it, everyone’s house looks like this right before Christmas. It’s festive!”. Oh I love that man. In between all of the holiday parties, I also celebrated a birthday. I got incredibly spoiled by Damon and my family and then I was immediately on a plane again. What a month it’s been!
I was proud of myself for being really organized and buying all of my Christmas presents early, but when Friday came I realized I wasn’t as finished as I’d thought, so off I went to the stores with the thousands of other last minute shoppers. Thankfully I walked so I didn’t have to experience parking! I had so many bags when I finished that I literally had to stop and rest on my walk home. I asked Damon if I looked like a homeless person with all those bags and he said that “eating out of a trash can makes you look homeless, not carrying a lot of bags”. LOL. Ok good, and noted.
I feel extremely fortunate to celebrate Christmas with so many people this month. I am looking forward to sleeping in, watching the last two episodes of Gilmore Girls (I’ve been saving it), and seeing my family open their gifts.
