Here are six beauty products that I’ve been loving lately for sun protection, for moisturizing dry skin, and for achieving a summer glow in the winter: Kopari Coconut Melt, L’Occitane Ultra Rich Comforting Cream, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, Perricone MD ‘No Foundation’ Foundation Serum SPF 30, Suntegrity Moisturizing Sunscreen & Primer SPF 30, and AmorePacific ‘Moisture Bound’ Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15.
Kopari Organic Coconut Melt – This 100% organic coconut oil smells amazing. At temperatures below approx. 22 deg C, it’s in a solidified state which is how I like it (it’s messier to apply when it’s completely melted). I like taking a dollop and having it melt in my hands and my skin. It absorbs immediately and I can get dressed right away. I don’t recommend using it in your hair (too oily) but highly recommend it for your skin.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Comforting Cream – a wonderfully rich cream that both my boyfriend and I love for dry winter weather. The 25% shea butter concentration is key here and really makes a difference.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Trio – I’ve loved Bobbi Brown’s shimmer bricks – particularly the bronze one – since high school. I remember trying it at Holt Renfrew over and over again and finally splurging on it like two years later. I love that it gives me a glow and a slight bronze or blush without being sparkly or obvious. I love this palette of mini shimmer bricks. Bobbi Brown has a highlighting trio this season. The bronze shimmer brick and the golden shimmer brick are 15% off individually right now.
Perricone MD ‘No Foundation’ Foundation Serum SPF 30 – This is SO good. Super easy to blend (I just use my fingers) and looks very natural. I’d say it provides about medium coverage. I love that it contains SPF 30.
Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer SPF 30 – Reviewed here. It smells like citrus and contains all-natural ingredients like aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, cucumber, red algae and green tea to help soothe and moisturize the skin. Comes out as a thick texture but blends well and doesn’t leave a white film.
AmorePacific ‘Moisture Bound’ Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 – I love Amorepacific products and this one is no exception. This is probably the best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It’s moisturizing enough by itself in the summer and wears well over other moisturizer. The color is beautiful, natural, and wears like an even high quality foundation. I like the untinted SPF 30 version as well.
