I’m so excited to feature my Michael Kors Bromley riding boots for the first time! They are my first pair of above-the-knee boots and I absolutely love them. I have a hard time fitting into boots because of my, ahem, “athletic” calves so these boots were a dream come true. The stretchy material at the back of the calves and the zipper make these a perfect fit for everyone. See how I can even tuck my jeggings inside? Amazing. I have a callous on my right index finger from all the zipping but it’s worth it. Over-the-knee boots are amazing for lengthening the legs and for making outfits look chic. Oh, did I mention these are taken at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York?
Right after I booked my trip to New York, I envisioned sitting on the Met steps, eating yogurt with Alyssa like Blair Waldorf and Serena Van der Woodsen. There was no yogurt involved, but we had a great time sitting on the steps of the Met taking turns snapping photos.

New York was an incredible experience. The city captures so many of the things I love. The architecture, the career-focused attitude, the shopping, and so much more. Don’t even get me started on $11 manicures! Other than a few photos from my iPhone4, the photos below mark some of the very first photos I took on my new Canon DSLR.
I don’t have any photos of myself on the first day, but I took a few of my best friend Alyssa and her awesome two-toned leggings from United Colors of Benetton, Zara coat, Joe scarf, and Plum bag. Isn’t she stylish? I couldn’t have had a better travel partner!
I sat next to a Holt Renfrew buyer on the plane and got to look through the complete Elie Tahari collection for SS12. Very pretty colors and patterns!
Driving through Brooklyn in a taxi to meet Alyssa at her sister’s house:
